ClaimGlance Terms of Use
Effective date: October 26, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and ClaimGlance, the business that runs claimglance.com ("ClaimGlance", "we" or "us"). By using ClaimGlance, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use ClaimGlance. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. What ClaimGlance is
ClaimGlance is self-help software. It gives you a second look at the repair estimate from your home insurance company. It reads your estimate, compares it with a checklist of items that are often part of a repair like yours, and shows you items you may want to ask your insurer about. It can also help you put your questions into a message in your own words.
You stay in charge of your claim. You decide what, if anything, to send to your insurer, and you send it yourself.
2. What ClaimGlance is not
- ClaimGlance is not a public adjuster, a law firm or an insurance company.
- We don't represent you, act for you, or contact, negotiate or communicate with your insurer for you.
- We don't tell you what your policy covers or what you're owed. Only your policy and your insurer decide what's covered.
- Nothing in ClaimGlance is legal advice, and it isn't a substitute for an attorney.
If your claim is large or complicated, or you're in a dispute with your insurer, you may want to talk to a licensed public adjuster or an attorney.
3. Results are approximate
ClaimGlance uses software, and software can make mistakes. It may miss items, flag items that don't apply to your home, or misread your estimate. Please check everything before you use it. We don't promise that your insurer will pay anything more, change your estimate, or agree with any question you ask.
4. Who can use ClaimGlance
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Right now ClaimGlance is available only for homes in Washington State. Please use it only for property located in Washington.
- Use it only for your own home's claim, or for a claim you're handling for your own household. Don't use it to check estimates for other people as a business.
- ClaimGlance is in an early, invite-only test. You need an access code from us, and you shouldn't share your code with others.
5. Price
If a price applies to any part of ClaimGlance, we'll show you the price and the refund terms before you pay. You won't be charged unless you agree first. Any fee we charge is never a percentage of your claim and never depends on what your insurer pays.
6. Your content
"Your content" means the estimates, line items and other information you upload or type into ClaimGlance.
- You keep all rights to your content.
- You give us permission to store, read and process your content only to run ClaimGlance for you, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Upload only content you have the right to share. Please leave out medical records and other health details.
- You're responsible for checking any message before you send it to your insurer.
7. Your private link
Each check gets a private link, which may be protected by a code.
- Anyone who has your link (and the code, if there is one) can open your check. Keep them private, the way you would a password.
- Save your link when we show it. We can't show the same link again.
- If you lose it, you can get a new one from the browser where you started your check, or email hello@claimglance.com and we'll help once we've confirmed the check is yours. A new link turns off the old one.
- If you think someone else has your link, get a new one or email us right away.
8. Using ClaimGlance fairly
Please don't:
- use ClaimGlance for anything illegal or fraudulent, including creating false or altered estimates or claims
- upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything harmful, such as viruses
- try to get into other people's checks, or into parts of our systems you're not allowed to use
- overload, scrape, copy or reverse-engineer ClaimGlance, or get around its security or access limits
- resell ClaimGlance or present its results as coming from a licensed professional
9. Our software
We own ClaimGlance, including its software, checklists, design and name. You may use it only as these terms allow. Messages and reports made for your own claim are yours to use for that claim.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using ClaimGlance at any time and ask us to delete your data by emailing hello@claimglance.com. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we need to protect users or our systems, or if we stop offering ClaimGlance. Sections 3, 6, 9, 11, 12 and 13 keep applying after your use ends.
11. No warranties
We work hard to make ClaimGlance useful and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises about it, including promises that it will be error-free, always available, or fit for a particular purpose. Some laws don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows:
- We aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as a lower claim payment, lost profits or lost time.
- Our total responsibility for any claim about ClaimGlance is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
These limits don't apply to losses caused by our fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
13. Law and where disputes are handled
Washington State law governs these terms. If we can't resolve a dispute informally, it will be handled in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, unless the law gives you the right to bring it somewhere else. Either of us may also use small claims court if the dispute qualifies. Please contact us first at hello@claimglance.com; most problems can be fixed quickly.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we'll let you know on the site before it applies. Changes don't apply to a check you've already paid for, unless you agree.
15. Other terms
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about ClaimGlance.
